While shelf reading today, I came across an interesting little book called “Father Gander Nursery Rhymes,” which advertised itself as being “Mother Goose Rewritten: Nonsexist, nonviolent, nonracist nursery rhymes for children of all ages,” or something to that extent. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all for promoting tolerance and equality and whatnot, [...]

Hm…

Moral question, inspired by my dreams last night:
If one had the ability to literally turn back time for the world, and erase all events that happened after a certain point in time, would it still be wrong for this person to torture, hurt or even kill other people at random, so long as they undid [...]

After Ryan and I got back from vacation, I went to visit Ian, and he made it fairly clear that he was interested in rekindling our relationship, once my “term of contract” with Ryan expires in May – apparently things with his elfchick aren't likely to last past the end the the semester. I'm [...]

–Pack all my stuff and move it out of Ryan's grandparents' house (due in 1 week)
–Find someone who has my immunization records and have them mailed to me so that I can move into campus housing [...]

A culture whose values that I once abhorred
Holds me enthralled with its glitter
I know there is blackness, corruption beneath, but
The gildedness shines in my eyes.
My life, that was once plenty pleasant enough
Now seems all too small to contain me
But what am I now if I am not myself?
I have changed, but is it for the [...]
