All around me darkness gathers,
Fading is the sun that shone;
We must speak of other matters:
You can be me when I'm gone.
–Neil Gaiman
Been in a strange mood this evening, which I don't really know how to describe. From the outside it probably looks like another bout of melancholy, but it's more complex than that. [...]

Ending a relationship is not easy. Even when both parties recognize the need to move on, habit and fondness and any number of other aspects of the situation make separation difficult.
I find myself wondering if my recent headaches, bouts of depression, etc. have anything to do with the stress from worrying about this + [...]

Uncontrollable bouts of crying with intervals of moroseness and hopelessness. Feelings of unhappiness, loneliness, insecurity, loss. Periods of extreme agitation. Excessive frustration at anything I try to accomplish that doesn't turn out perfectly.
Absolutely no reason for any of it.
Maybe I should go to the doctor and get drugs. 'Course, then I'd [...]

I think I'm going to have to put all these together in a Memories category. I'm starting to accumulate rather a lot.
Anyway…here's how it turned out. I'm particularly proud of the buttonholes.

1.) Ian's shirt is done, with the minor exception of the buttons not being sewn on yet. Still, all the machine work is done, and I even figured out how to make decent buttonholes with the machine's zig-zag stitch (a paper graph to sew over helped immensely). Pictures will be coming whenever [...]

TRANSCRIPT OF A CONVERSATION TAKING PLACE BETWEEN ONE RYAN TAYLOR AND MYSELF AT APPROXIMATELY 11:47 THIS MORNING, ALASKAN STANDARD TIME:
“Who was that asking for me on the phone?”
“Someone big.”
“Who-wha?”
“Someone big. Your father.”
“My father?”
“Your father cleared some money.”
*blink* *blink* “And he wants to pay me back? Did he leave a number?”
“No.”
“Okay, maybe I [...]

“It has always been the prerogative of fools and children to point out that the emperor has no clothes. But the fool remains a fool, and the emperor remains an emperor.”
I was trying my mightiest to place that line the other day. I think it's from one of the issues of The Sandman, [...]

From the “Exploration of Newly-Legal-To-Ingest Mood-Altering Substances” Division: Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is pretty damn good stuff. Not quite a religious experience (like a couple of scotches I've had), but it's got a lot more flavor than your average dark or light rum, while still having that really awesome rum aftertaste. Definitely [...]
*STOMP*

New icon post, mostly. Took the money I got from selling those Star Trek magazines and used it to buy myself a pair of – you guessed it – bitch boots. Five-and-a-half-inch heels, inch-and-a-half platforms, and lots and lots of stomping power. Though currently all I've stomped with them is a random [...]
