Well, I guess this isn't actually much of an update, since the pro-lifers haven't written anything to the paper (or at least, nothing that's been published). However, a couple other people have written in decrying the “PP offers nothing of value to a community” comment. Here's my favorite, since it says more or [...]

Y'know, I'm really glad the local Humane Society has a website. I like looking at the cats they have there, but I know that if I go there and actually visit with them I'll come home with another cat, and two is quite enough for our relatively small living space (especially given that these [...]

I was at the Public Health Center just now to get a refill on my birth control pills, and when I told them my name, both of the receptionists went “Oh, you're Ambrosia! We were passing around a printout of your letter just now, and we all thought it was really good…” [...]

Fun lunchtime thoughts

–Hawaii rolls (California rolls with tuna on top) are pretty darn good sushi. Not even close to eel as my favorite, but perfectly serviceable lunchtime fare. Especially with a squeeze of lemon on the tuna. Mmm.
–Sushi restaurants that play Korean techno during lunch are awesome. I may have to actually *eat* [...]

For this one, a little background – we have a network in place at a local gold mine that (theoretically) provides phone and internet service to the folks who live and work out there. The problem being, the network is so Rube Goldbergian in design that it only works completely about half to two-thirds [...]
