Or, All the Stuff Rose Forgot To Put in the First Post.
Let's see…
The Experience Music Project: Housed in what is certainly one of the more interestingly-designed buildings in existence (Brian's words: “It looks like Mecha-Godzilla puke”), the EMP does contain some fascinating exhibits on the history of music, mostly in the context of [...]

Our long-awaited trip to Seattle for the Penny Arcade Expo was about ninety different shades of awesome, and I had a lot of fun. Some things didn't work out so well, but we'll keep them in mind for next year, since we intend to go again. Following is a breakdown of some of [...]

Does anyone else find it amusing that, in our alphabetical filing system here at work, the invoices for “Sitka Animal Hospital” sit right next to the ones for “Sitka Fur Gallery”?
Yay audition!

Audition went even better than I expected. PJ (the fabulous – in every sense of the word – artistic director at Perseverance who also taught the first acting class I attended there) was there, and apparently I surprised him – his first reaction after I finished singing was “I didn't know you could sing [...]

Off to an audition here pretty shortly.
Hoping I don't get another “thanks, but we don't need you” letter – I miss having theatre to do in the winter, even if it's just as a chorus member.
Fortunately, I'm feeling pretty confident about this one.
Anyway, wish me luck.
Condo hunt update

Some slightly better news on the home-hunting front: We finally found a place that Brian doesn't totally hate! Okay, so actually he didn't hate most of the places we looked at (except a few that really deserved it). So maybe “a place where Brian actually wants to live” would be better. [...]

Brian and I went and saw Stardust last night and had dinner at Doc Water's for the first time in several months – they'd started skimping on ingredients for a while, so we took our business elsewhere. Fortunately they seem to have wised up and are using good-quality stuff again.
All in all, [...]
On Stardust

Went and saw Stardust with Monica this afternoon. I think “charming” is the best word to describe it – it's got some flaws, and the plot's definitely a bit cluttered and uneven, but you can't fault its boundless energy or its heart. One reviewer called it “a compatibility litmus test for starry-eyed romantics”, [...]
Why Life Is Not Fair, Part MXVII

Point 1: The pre-Broadway run of Young Frankenstein will be playing in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre from the 9th through the first week of September.
Point 2: On August 22nd, Brian and I are flying to Seattle for the Penny Arcade Expo.
Point 3: The hotel in which we are staying is literally [...]
"What a dilemma! Should I go to jail, or…go to Rio?"

I'm currently reading a paperback copy of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which I'm enjoying immensely. So I'm thinking I'll pick up a hardback version for my collection.
After some research, I discover that I can get a hardbound edition used for roughly $4.
After further research, I find I can get a new-condition signed first [...]
